How to Find a Good Bass Fishing Spot

    Take out your map and locate a lake that you would like to start exploring for bass.

    Travel to the lake with your fishing boat and trailer and launch the boat into the water.

    Prepare your fishing pole for trying out waters at the different locations on the lake.

    Peninsula.

    Look for an area of shoreline that sticks out from the surrounding shore, such as a small peninsula. This is a good place to locate bass.

    Find the current of the lake as it narrows down into a creek or stream. Bass love to stage in these areas.

    Weed bed.

    Look for natural areas like weed beds and submerged trees or rocks. Bass tend to be in high amounts in these areas.

    Find the deepest area of the lake. Here you are more likely to find the most adult bass fish.

    Drop offs in the water are also a good spot for bass. You can find these areas by using a device that measures the water's depth or you can look down into the water to see the colors of the depth changes.
